SKINS CALENDAR
DESIGN CHALLENGE
Giffin Graphics, high-end printing & publishing company desired a 2011 calendar showcasing their printing techniques and paper samples.
PROCESS
The project was spearheaded by Huda Yaqub and myself. We collaborated with 10 other design colleagues and came up with concept of Skins. The idea was inspired by the World Wildlife Fund.
DESIGN SOLUTION
Juxtaposed tactile skins of endangered species with paper skins. Selected 12 species that were visually diverse and which fell under the categorie of being either flagship (iconic animals) or footprint-impacted (critically endangered) ones. Concluded the project with human beings who are the only beings capable of saving these animals and their own skins.
